Game being a subsidiary of the JSE listed, Massmart Holdings. Massmart is Africa’s third largest distributor of consumer goods, the leading retailer of general merchandise, liquor and home improvement equipment and supplies, and the leading wholesaler of basic foods.

In December 2021, Univa and Game finalized the agreement to list the Univa cooking brand into their stores. 

We at Univa pride ourselves for our renowned long-lasting performance products at an affordable price. We believe that good value does not mean you have to compromise on features, and that our products will be perfect for the Game consumer, consistently providing superior quality, exceptional value and affordability in the major domestic appliance market. 

Univa is extremely excited about our partnership with Game. 

Products were launched officially at Game in the 6 April 2022 catalogue. Game launched the following units:

• U405-1 – Univa cable stove 4 solid plates Black
• U116B – Univa stove with 4 solid plates and Utility drawer Black
• U336B – Univa Black under counter oven and black solid Hob
• U336CB – Univa Black under counter oven and Ceran Hob
• U600B – Univa 600 mm Cookerhood Black

The excitement and acceptance from the Game store staff has been incredible. Training was conducted with floor sales staff of Game by the Univa reps and agents during the first arrivals at the Game stores during April and May. 

Some feedback from the stores: 

Jabulani Mall – Your price and product makes it easier to sell the Univa products to their clients. 

Witbank – As soon as we put the Univa products on the floor they get sold out. 

Greenacres PE – We are very pleased with the Univa sales response from our customers has been positive. 

Wonderpark – Your product is great for our clients and it’s selling out quickly 

Tzaneen – Univa is selling very well 

Kolenade – We love your product, and it selling out really quickly 

Mosselbay – Very happy with the product and all selling very well

George – Good products and no returns to date

Since the Launch

Since the initial launch into Game we have listed 4 additional products going into the stores June/July 2022, expanding into Laundry and chest freezers.
